The Inn was once a cigar factory where craftsmen hand rolled some of the world's most famous cigars.  A brick walkway, once a lane, runs past our sparkling pools and historic cottages built in 1880 as the homes of cigar factory workers.  Today this lane is our beautiful footpath through luxuriant private gardens, past expertly restored cottages and four pools shimmering amid flowering vines and palm fronds. A resent visitor from Glassboro, NJ writes, My husband and I stayed at Simonton Court for our 30th wedding anniversary. When we booked, we requested a particular room, but we were told that another room had just been re-done and was far superior. We then booked that room, C7a, Wisteria. It was amazing! The room was absolutely wonderful, fresh, and clean-looking. We had our own hot tub on our private deck, queen-sized bed, nice bathroom, and steps down from our deck they served breakfast by the pool for our section. Staff was friendly, helpful, and so pleasant! Breakfast was included in room price- bakery fresh bagels, fruit, waffles, etc. Every day there was fresh iced tea and very cold water in cold dispensers, so guests could help themselves at any hour. Concierge recommended wonderful trips and would print boarding passes for return flights. Facility was romantic, impeccably cleaned and so pleasant. Duval St. and waterfront were so close- location is fantastic! At night, gates locked and we had a number code to punch in, little lanterns were lit by each room to welcome us home to a peaceful, quiet room.
